The best way to be sure if you have or are at risk of having neuropathy is to go to a doctor to get a medical diagnosis. If you have diabetes you are at high-risk for developing neuropathy the longer you have it, in addition to if you have poor blood sugar control, are overweight, have kidney disease, or smoke.
